Business Support Models

Japan Business Interface

Local communication and coordination support for European companies working with Japanese clients and partners.

In some situations, companies do not yet have a distributor or local office in Japan but still need a reliable contact person on the ground.

In these cases, I act as a local interface between the company and its Japanese contacts.

Billed in 30-minute increments.
Support is provided on demand depending on project needs.

Trade Shows & Exhibitor Support

On-site support for European exhibitors participating in trade fairs in Japan.

I assist exhibitors during exhibitions by facilitating communication with visitors, supporting business discussions and helping companies engage effectively with Japanese partners and potential clients.

This service is designed for companies that need practical booth support, visitor communication and local assistance throughout the exhibition.

¥48,000 / day (~€270)

A 10% discount applies from the second day for multi-day assignments.

Interpretation

I provide professional French–Japanese interpretation for business meetings, factory visits, corporate visits and trade shows in Japan.

My role goes beyond translating words. I help bridge different communication styles and professional cultures.

In Japanese business environments, communication often relies on context, timing and non-verbal cues. French communication, by contrast, tends to be more direct, expressive and conversational.

By navigating these differences, I help both sides understand not only what is being said, but also the intentions and nuances behind it — creating smoother discussions and stronger professional relationships.

    Business & Technical Meetings

    • Half-day (4 hours) : ¥36 000
      Morning or afternoon missions. Any time exceeding 4 hours will be charged at the full-day rate.

    • Full day (8 hours) : ¥55 000
      Includes up to 8 hours of presence between 09:00 and 18:00, including a one-hour lunch break (7 hours of effective working time).

    Trade Shows and exhibitor support

    Flat rate (up to 8 hours) : ¥48 000
    Includes trade shows, exhibitor support and general business assistance.

    Remote Interpretation (Zoom, Teams, etc.)

    • Up to 2 hours : ¥25 000

      Each additional hour : ¥5 000 / hour

  • Multi-day assignments
    A 10% discount applies from the second day for consecutive multi-day assignments.

    Day 1 : ¥55,000
    Day 2 and following days : ¥49,500

    Trade shows and exhibitor support :

    Day 1 : ¥48,000
    Day 2 and following days : ¥43,200

  • Transportation
    Travel expenses will be charged separately and covered by the client.
    Assignments requiring travel outside the interpreter’s base location may involve additional transportation and accommodation costs.

    Per diem
    A per diem of ¥3,000 per day applies for assignments requiring overnight stay, from the day of departure to the day of return.

    Other expenses
    Accommodation and other expenses (coffee breaks during meetings, etc.) are borne by the client.

  • Once the scope of the assignment has been defined, a detailed quotation will be issued.
    Upon confirmation, an invoice will be sent with payment instructions.

    Payment conditions
    Payment must be completed at least 7 days before the assignment in order to confirm the booking.

    All bank or transfer fees are borne by the client. The net amount received must correspond to the total amount of the invoice.

    Cancellation Policy
    From 7 to 2 days before the mission: 50% of the total quoted amount

    The day before or same day: 100% of the total quoted amount

Mobility & Logistics Support

Business travel in Japan often involves complex transportation networks, tight schedules and locations that may be difficult to access without local knowledge.

I assist visiting teams by coordinating transportation, planning efficient routes between meetings and ensuring smooth movement between cities, factories and project sites.

This support allows clients to focus entirely on their meetings, negotiations or technical work while I handle the practical aspects of travel logistics.

Typical situations include:

  • Travel between multiple business meetings in different cities

  • Factory visits and industrial site access

  • Coordination of transportation during business trips

  • Logistical support during multi-day assignments

Field Support for Media and Research

Support for European media teams, documentary crews and research projects working in Japan.

These assignments often involve interviews, location shooting or field reporting, where clear communication and quick coordination are essential.

I facilitate communication between international teams and local contacts while helping field operations run smoothly.
